Nikkei up by 0.2%, Hang Seng tumble by -2.04%, Nifty 50 is almost flat and lost 20 points on Jan-08-2024 as of now. China related Shanghai index down 0.9%.

Still markets in consolidation phase. Profit booking is going in the Asia markets.

Mainly quarterly results for quarter ending Dec-2023 will decide the direction of the market whether upmove or down move.

On Jan 5th, even jobs report in USA is slightly better than market anticipated result, markets not reacted positively to the news. Might be reason could be the stock market had already participated in the rally in the last month.
